This full-time position is responsible for budget preparation and review along with maintaining accurate and timely records and reporting on expenditures of grant & contract funds. This position will contribute to the overall efficient operation of the department and help ComWell be fully aware of its financial condition by preparing monthly financial reports.

Job Duties :

  • Prepare and maintain budgets for grant projects, including the submission of revisions with manager approval.
  • Prepare financial reports and submit to grantor(s) as required.
  • Ensure allowable expenditures are in alignment with the contract requirements.
  • Ensure accurate coding of grant related expenses.
  • Distribute grant related financial reports to ComWell managers on a regular basis.

In order to effectively perform job duties, one must have experience with :

  • Maintenance of accounting records in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Reviewing business practices for improvements in efficiency.
  • Actively participating in the collection and compilation of information in an annual financial report.
  • Performing related or other duties as assigned by manager.
  • Assisting fiscal staff with projects.
  • Electronic accounting system.
  • Bank account reconciliation.
  • Preparing program financials.
  • General Ledger accounts, trial balance and journal entries.
  • Grant Reporting.
  • Month End closing.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Associates degree in Accounting or comparable experience.
  • One year of accounting experience.
  • Knowledge and experience with integrated accounting systems for general ledger desired.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Proficient to excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • Detail oriented, strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and heavy workload.
  • Ability to assume responsibility, work independently, show initiative and make decisions.

Pay : From $19.49 per hour

Expected hours : 37.5 per week
