At ComWell, we believe in integrated care and treating the whole person. We partner with local providers to leverage resources to create a new model of comprehensive care that positively affects behavioral and overall health, reduce health disparities and optimize community resources.
From the start, community has been at the core of who we are and what we do. We are committed to bringing wellness to our communities. Our dedicated team, volunteers and staff work around the clock to ensure that Randolph and Washington County continue to become healthier and safer by providing services needed. This is the impact we’re making.
Out of all the services we provide, not one is more important than the other, but it all works together to achieve our goal of bringing wellness to our communities. For nearly 50 years, we have been eagerly serving our neighbors and still continue to develop new ways to bridge the gap between individual and resource. In our small community, our roots go very deep. We have long-standing relationships and partnerships with local schools, hospitals, clubs and organizations. We work closely with surrounding groups because we know that together we can make a difference. Check out or core services below to see how we can support you on your wellness journey!
Our team works around the clock to bring wellness to our communities by promoting positive healthy changes and the resources needed to ensure that our communities continue to become healthier safer places to live.

A group of Randolph County citizens had a desire to help adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. They developed a sheltered workshop in Evansville, IL to provide work for people of that community. The organization was known as Randolph County Mental Health Services.
Randolph County Mental Health Services gave way to a new 501c3 not for profit and became Human Service Center of Southern Metro-East.
The agency’s first staffed residential facility was established in Sparta to serve adults diagnosed with mental illness. The agency’s second residential facility, a Community Integrated Living Arrangement was developed in Chester, IL to serve adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
HSC expanded mental health counseling services to Washington County, Illinois.
Okawville office location adopted substance use counseling services and DUI services for Washington County.
